Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt could take the lead role in the new ‘He-Man’ movie, after being shortlisted for the part.
The film’s creators, who also worked on the latest ‘Superman’ movie, reportedly think Brad it perfect for taking the lead in big screen version of the 80s cartoon.
"They are very keen on Brad for the role. He'll have to bulk up though - he's very fit, but not to He-Man proportions," a source told British newspaper the Sun.

He-Man bosses have ‘300’ star Gerald Butler as a back-up for the role.

Britney Spears will avoid singing about her personal problems of the last year in favour of a “fun” sound on her new album.
Spears’ upcoming release will be about “feeling good” and “celebrating womanhood” Nate "Danja" Hills, who worked on the album, says.

"It's fun, it's basic and there's nothing wrong with that. It's about feeling good, celebrating womanhood," Hills said. "And if you don't dance to it, I really don't know what you're listening to.

"There was no, 'I need to let it all out'. She said she deals with that in another way. She didn't let none of her personal life into what she was doing... She wanted to stay away from being personal.

"As far as her work ethic, I haven't seen anybody come in like that. Boom, boom, boom, and get it done. So as an artist? She's ready to go."

Angelina Jolie has decided to take a year off to spend time with her family.

"I'm working this summer. I'm in Prague for a few months, then I take two months off, then I work for two months," Jolie said Tuesday while promoting A Mighty Heart at the Cannes Film Festival. "And then I take a year off."

Asked if the time off will be for her family, she replied: "Yes."

Jolie was speaking to reporters at the exclusive Hotel du Cap while partner Brad Pitt, who produced Heart, looked after their four children in a nearby villa. It was not clear whether Pitt would also take a hiatus in 2008.

The couple walked the Cannes red carpet Monday night for the world premiere of A Mighty Heart along with Mariane Pearl, on whose memoir the film is based, and her son Adam.

The Pitt-Jolie clan will remain at their villa on the French Riviera for several more days more as Pitt premieres Ocean's Thirteen.

Jolie also told reporters on Tuesday about her recent pilot-license upgrade and the possibility of flying en famille. "Brad has his pilot's license and I just got my instrument rating, so we're moving forward with that but we haven't had a lot of time because of the kids and with Pax coming home," she said.

"I wouldn't fly the kids at this moment. I would only fly the kids if I had been actively flying for a few months and when I'm not at all rusty."

Jolie, a Goodwill Ambassador for the UNHCR, insisted she will continue her campaign for justice around the world, even though there have been concerns for her safety: "I don't want to live inside a box. I will be smart, but I will lead a very bold life, and I will learn about the world."

After four months of playing the field since his split from Cameron Diaz, is Justin Timberlake ready to "go steady" with Jessica Biel?

The two, who were first linked at a Golden Globe afterparty in January, recently spent several days together in the U.K., where Timberlake was touring. (They holed up in Manchester's five-star Lowry Hotel and took in a soccer match.)

And now "Justin's in love," a source close to the singer tells PEOPLE in its new issue. "She's the coolest chick ever. He wants to be with her all the time. He's ready to be serious."

Over the last few months, Timberlake, 26, and Biel, 25, have also been spotted snowboarding with pals at the Sundance Film Festival, and Biel recently attended a barbeque at Timberlake's L.A. home.

Visibly shocked and tearful, Hilton was sentenced on Friday to 45 days in jail after a judge ruled she knowingly violated her probation on a previous traffic offense by driving without a valid license.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Sauer rejected the 26-year-old socialite's defense that she didn't realize her license was suspended and ordered her to report to a county detention facility on June 5.

Hilton's mother Kathy voiced her anger at the ruling over the weekend. "This is pathetic and disgusting, a waste of taxpayers' money with this nonsense. It is a joke," she told Hollywood.com.

Hilton's fans began sending messages of support as news of the jail term spread. One fan, Joshua Capone, wrote to California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger asking him to intervene and keep Hilton out of jail.

"She provides hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world. She provides beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives," Capone wrote in a letter to Schwarzenegger posted online on Hilton's myspace page.

Hilton quickly responded on her myspace page.

At the hearing, the star of the reality TV show "The Simple Life" said she was unaware her driving privileges had been completely suspended when police stopped her for driving without headlights on February 27. They impounded her blue Bentley after discovering she was driving on a suspended license.

Hilton said her publicist had told her she was permitted to drive for work-related reasons after the first 30 days of her license suspension late last November, and she relied on that.

He is popularly called “Concert King” in the Philippines but in Las Vegas, Martin Nievera is just another artist trying to make it big in the United States.

For over a month now, Nievera has been performing at the Steve Wyrick Theater at the Aladdin Hotel and he said it's been a real challenge packing this 445-seat theater. After a conflict with his Filipino-American producer, he has to make sacrifices such as performing with no talent fee just “to keep the show going.”

"I've taken my own resources, I've sold my car, I've sold watches. I've done everything possible to keep the show going with no talent fee to me," he said.
