Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao announced that he is definetely running for a congressional
seat dilly-dallying on his political plans for a couple of weeks.
The"Peoples Champ" wasted no time, and made the rounds of General Santos City's barangay the backing of a group called Pacquiao for Congress Movement.
Pacquiao has less than a week in town since he needs to fly to the US for a rigid training starting on the 17th of March and prepare for his April 14 bout at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas with undefeated Mexican boxer Jorge Solis.
The People’s Champ earlier had second thoughts about running after being reportedly "booed" by audience who watched the "Battle of Cebu" between Filipino and Mexican boxers last month.
